Local Chapters.

Local chapters are located within individual schools and communities across the country, and they make up the foundation of Project 9. Members on the local level work on campaigns, hold fundraisers, organize lobby days, and more!

How To Start A Chapter.

First, you and every member of your chapter must become an official member of Project 9 by clicking here.

Starting a Project 9 chapter: 

​

School Chapters: 

  • Step 1: Find other students interested in starting a school chapter. 

  • Step 2: Find a teacher or administrator who will serve as your advisor. Discuss your ideas/plans with them.

  • Step 3: Talk to your administrators and/or principals. Have either yourself or your advisor ensure that your chapter follows your school’s rules on clubs and extracurriculars.

  • Step 4: Register your chapter online by clicking this link. 

  • Step 5: Hold your first meeting.

 

Community chapters: 

  • Step 1: Find other students interested in starting a local chapter. 

  • Step 2: Find a community member who will serve as your advisor. Discuss your ideas/plans with them.
